Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the 26 May 1986, Victor Neustetter attended the Deutsche Schule zu Johannesburg from 1992 to 2004. In 2007 he graduated from AFDA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing&Writing for Motion Picture. After his studies Victor Neustetter gained extensive knowledge by directing television adverts and music videos within Africa for 6 years boasting a Best Central African Music Video Nomination.
The European heritage and upbringing in an African environment provides Victor with a unique perspective on the relationship between the EU and Africa. His exploration to make sense of such a complex topic informs his more artistic work having lead to two Biennale screenings – Havana and Maputo.
Since living in Vienna for the past 2 years he has left the commercial track and focused on collaborating with Artists to direct art-films and short-films which have been screened on ARTE Creative, festivals and other platforms.
